DW, Mavericks and 49 Winchester
Wow first concert of the year for this trip. I came for DW and the Mavericks but 49 Winchester was a great start. These guys played 5 hours, minus 20 mins for break and change over. This is probably the best concert I've seen in 20 years. The mavericks did not disappoint. Everyone in the band had sincere smiles and that happy to be on the road again. Great theatricks and the squeezebox player almost stole the show. The band was tight as hell. One of Raul's guitar didn't work, he started the song with a "if this is worst thing that happens tonight it's a good night l-and it was. DW started with a blast of songs one after Another with frantic lead guitar, guitar swaps. DW joked that if the Spanish missed a beat he docks him. He also told the story of I sang Dixie which was really Cool and I never heard the stories so that was great. He apologized for some reason for playing some new stuff basically saying I know why y'all came but his new stuff was great too. Must see
Excellent, Fun Show
Traveled to Nee Orleans from Illinois and saw the concert in a cool old theatre. It was a really fun show, Dwight’s voice is as good as ever, great crowd interaction and lots of energy. Eugene Edward’s is an amazing guitarist and showman as is the multi-instrumentalist, can’t keep track of all the instruments he played. It was a great night on the soundboard. Quality was clear and solos were very evident. It was a great-into-it crowd.
Dwight Yoakam is amazing
We almost got rained out but the show definitely went on! Dwight Yoakam and his band are amazing! My dream definitely came true! It’s a must see show!

@ the Bakersfield Fox
My brothers & I traveled a couple hours each to see this show. We were not disappointed. Great venue, sound was good. The band was GREAT! Dwight was Dwight @ his best. & Why Not? The show was in BAKERSFIELD!! Pretty much one hit after another, a couple stories & the only problem is, he’s got so many great songs, he can’t play them all in 2+ hours!ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
Dwight Yoakam at The Ryman, Nashville, TN
The Ryman is a sacred place and once again the rafters were raised to new heights as Dwight Yoakam and his stellar band exceeded expectations. How can an artist burn so long and so extremely well? Dwight proved that his music comes from a special place within. Yes, there were his hits which were performed to perfection. And, yes there was still the hip-grinding boot-shuffling moves, albeit with a bit less passion than previous years. But this time Dwight showered us with his musings as he reminisced about his early Cowpunk days in LA and he even beckoned us all to watch the Beatles: Get Back documentary. The concert was inspired, and simply brilliant—a must see show if you can.
